2010 Eos Botrytised Semillon
November 22, 2016
A delightfully sweet white, the 2010 Botrytised Semillon entices the senses with flavors and aromas of poached pear, baked apple, apricot and a touch of honey. The wine is full and round, offering a creamy texture and thorough finish.
The Chalk Hill growing region is located in the northeast corner of California’s Russian River Valley appellation. Named for its chalky white volcanic soil and geography along the hillsides of the Mayacamas mountain range, Chalk Hill is also privy to a warmer climate than other parts of the AVA. The high stress of nutrient-poor soils, combined with elevated sun exposure make growing conditions ideal for producing world-class wines.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs well with citrus infused seafood dishes, creamy to semi-hard cheeses such as Gorgonzola, Roquefort, and Ricotta, or try pouring over vanilla ice cream.
