A first look inside the new Ritz Carlton Istanbul Suite, with mesmerising views

 By Rachel Cranshaw

Newly launched, the Ritz-Carlton Istanbul’s eponymously titled signature suite – the best abode in the entire hotel – is the crowning feature of the hotel’s multimillion-pound, two-year renovation. Set on the building’s 14th floor, its spectacular views of the Bosphorus make it a truly special place to stay.

The suite

An entrance hallway with a Persian-style rug and vivid red wall art by Turkish artist Süleyman Saim Tekcan, alongside statement gold light fittings and a suspended glass twig-like light installation, sets the scene perfectly for this suite’s juxtaposition of traditional and subtle with lavish and decadent (and a sprinkling of bling).
