Crow Valley Golf Club Rallies for the Cure
Davenport, Iowa, August 24 – Today, on August 24, starting at 8:00 AM, the ladies of Crow Valley Golf Club will be joining together to help win the fight against breast cancer. One of our members says, “so many people in the Quad Cities are affected by the disease; it’s a privilege to be a part of the solution.”
The Rally for the Cure is a grassroots program using social activities like golf and tennis to raise millions of dollars in support of breast cancer research. The long-term goal of Rally is to help reduce breast-cancer related deaths by fifty percent by 2026. We are delighted to be a part of helping Rally reach this goal.
The staff at Crow Valley Golf Club is touched by the fact that we have received double the amount of RSVP’s than initially expected. Our banquets and catering director, Johnette Farrell-Meanor, says “It’s truly an amazing thing. We’re happy to see this.” As a club, we’re honored to host members who care so deeply about impacting the community and improving the lives of others.
Because of the doubled number of anticipated guests, we stand to raise about 4,000 dollars for The Rally for the Cure campaign. We could not be more excited to announce that all the money will be donated to the Iowa Chapter, helping fellow Iowan’s in their fight against breast cancer.
The event begins bright and early with a breakfast buffet for our golfers who tee off at eight-thirty in the morning and will be concluded in the early afternoon. We wish the best of luck to our golfers and are thrilled at the opportunity to make this event an unforgettable experience!
