Private Club Marketing Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of Luxury Marketing Council

It comes with great enthusiasm that we announce the expansion of the Private Club Marketing portfolio with the acquisition of The Luxury Marketing Council of Southern California license, adding 3 new cities to the 43 already around the world.

For many years we have offered insight and positioned Private Club Marketing’s clients to look further than what other private clubs are doing to best retain, engage and increase member usage and spending. With this new venture we engage directly with “invited” international luxury brand professionals and decision makers with what’s working for them and their, very similar, customers.

Mobile Friendly Email Newsletters

It’s common nomenclature to give email a “traditional marketing” label because it has been around for more than 20 years now. (Time flies, doesn’t it?) However, even with rampant Facebook messaging, tweets, blogs, forums and smartphones, email still has many justifiable uses, especially for membership and marketing directors. To start off, though, let’s discuss some mail of the more physical kind.

Rolls Royce Wraith Reveal

The Rolls-Royce Wraith show car made its next stop in Newport Beach last week with a 2-day event. A more polished, effortless driving experience and even better response brings a new, more dynamic dimension to the famous Rolls-Royce trait, waftability.

Thursday evening, existing Rolls Royce owners were invited to a private reception for the reveal of the new Wraith, accompanied by catering from Tamarind of London and exquisite vino from Donelan Wines.

Friday allowed invited and interested buyers to experience the vehicle first hand, with a “ride and drive” at UK famed, Tamarind of London, at their exclusive Newport Coast restaurant.

Single Proprietary Memberships

Recently, we posted a topic regarding Single Proprietary Memberships offered at your club, and asked for thoughts on the category. Willamette Valley Country Club announced the creation of a new proprietary membership focused on single membership. It is one of the first clubs in the area to offer a membership to single golfers.

“We’re excited to offer this new level of membership,” said Alison Cruden, Club Manager. “We surveyed the market and found that there are a lot of single golfers out there who would like to join a club, but there isn’t a specific membership for them.”

The “Golf Bible”

Four years in the making The Bible Of GOLF is a rare and unique adventure through the story of golf – and the many areas of culture that are linked to it. It features 18 chapters, taking a completely fresh look at the game, featuring many rare and previously unseen images, as well as hundreds of original paintings and illustrations. 584 gold gilded pages, leather bound and gold blocked, the book is held in the collections of Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, The USGA museum, PGA Headquarters, The Library Of Congress Publishing Department and in many private collections. Each one is hand finished and signed by the authors. The Bible is a truly an heirloom piece, something to have in your family for generations.  Originally launched at the Masters in Augusta, currently less than 600 of the cased editions are still available in the USA.

Membership Director’s Engagement in 4th of July Club Activities

As a membership professional, I see the value in interacting with members at holiday events (like Independence Day). Many times, however, hear that MD’s either take the day off or assist with arrival of members and then head out.

Annual Summer Garden Party at Montage Resort

A big thank you to everyone who attended the Annual Summer Garden Party this weekend with us and the British American Business Council along with the World Affairs Council at the Montage Laguna Beach Resort.

The afternoon was perfect with 75-degree weather out on the resort lawn overlooking the ocean. All in attendance came with British flare, from suits to summer dresses, and fascinators that any hat aficionado would be proud to be present at.
