Building on the success of the original West Hollywood location, SVB is expanding into Santa Monica (SVB SM) and New York City (SVB NYC) in 2024. Our eclectic members – both loyal and new to come – are set to enjoy even more benefits and legendary experiences.
Primary Purpose of the General Manager Position:
As the General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of the club's operations. Your primary goals: ensure the seamless delivery of exceptional service to our members, maintain the highest standards of operational efficiency, and provide inspirational leadership to our team members. You will play a pivotal role in upholding the club's reputation for excellence and creating a unique and memorable experience for our discerning members.
Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision to the team while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the team, ensuring effective communication, motivation, and professional development.
Service Excellence:
- Uphold the club's commitment to delivering personalized and exceptional service to members, consistently exceeding their expectations.
- Oversee the implementation of service standards, training programs, and quality assurance measures to maintain a consistently high level of member satisfaction.
Operational Management:
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including front-of-house, food and beverage, events, maintenance, and member programming.
- Ensure efficient coordination and collaboration between departments to provide a seamless member experience.
Financial Performance:
- Develop and manage the annual budget and monthly forecasts, analyzing financial data and implementing cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
- Drive revenue generation through strategic marketing initiatives, membership retention strategies, and innovative offerings to enhance the member experience.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements, maintaining accurate records and reporting as necessary.
- Implement and enforce club policies and procedures to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant environment for members and staff.
Membership:
- Works closely with the membership team to develop strategies for attracting and retaining high-caliber individuals.
- Foster strong relationships with members, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and proactively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the luxury hospitality industry, with a strong track record of operational excellence and financial performance in a high-volume F&B setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience executing successful high-profile restaurant openings
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities, coupled with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve outstanding results.
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with membership-based organizations and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Base salary
$175,000/yr – $215,000/yr
